Best Comics ShopCollectors Authority After talking to store owner Mario Delgado, it seems Collectors Authority might have managed to edge out the competition in this hard-fought category because of the lack of an ampersand in its name. There’s no fantasy gaming to be found at CA, just comics — boxes and boxes of boarded and bagged back issues and store-length shelves lined with new releases. Either that, or it’s the 4-feet-tall Witchblade statue that greets customers when they walk inside. A few smaller plastic action heroes sit for sale in glass cases, but even most of those are for display only. That goes double for the KISS figures on the wall, we presume, but before you accuse Delgado of straying from his mission statement by branching out into rock-’n’-roll fanboydom, check out his small collection of KISS Psycho Circus comics. The focus is on comics and he actually carries back issues. The store is clean and organized and they aren't too proud of their comics when it comes to pricing. Best selection of back issues in town, including Silver Age.

I am new to the world of comics & have been on an awesome roller-coaster ride since first being introduced via the Planet Hulk run. I have since visited many shops in search of the perfect store that would be able to combine excellent service, quality selection, and seasoned experience. I have found that store: Collector’s Authority!! Every couple of weeks I take the 30+ minute drive from my part of town down Military to collect my goodies. Let me tell you, it’s worth it!! My experience has been nothing short of superior!! I’ve even managed to convince a few friends to cancel their existing subs & join me at CA. We now excitedly look forward to making our bi-monthly visits to the store. From: Trent Reyes Mario, Hello, you may remember me as the guy who gets 2 Dark Tower comics and 1 variant. I really appreciate that you will hold a variant for me every month. I'm just use to the collectors chain stores, where I run in then out and no one really has an interest in what I'm looking for, much less what I'm talking about. You surprised me by remembering who I was and what I was looking for. That was cool. Because none of the other places would hold a variant for me. That is why I have decided to make your new shop my new place to go for comics. Since I work a night shift I usually make our conversations short every time I visit your shop (sorry about that). My wife has also become a collector, but what she likes is usually hard to find and not cheap. I get her anything from The Nightmare Before Christmas. (Got the movie cards too) One question that she asked for me to mention was "What are the names of and how many comics were made by Glenn Danzig?" That’s pretty much all I have to say for now. From: John Trevino Wow what can I say CA is the best. I've been collecting comics with CA since about the beginning of this year and I have a bout 2 boxes worth of comics already. I've been to other places and no one treats me better than guys like Mario and Pete they're friendly and are willing to answer any of your questions. they have reignited my love for Spider-man. plus they are huge COWBOYS and SPURS fans. props guys.
